My bloodwork came back and my biological age is 35. I am actually 48 years old. I weigh 250 pounds. And I had pizza three times this week. Let that sink in for a second.
Welcome back to my monthly GlowGetter recap, the place where I tell you the whole truth about my glow up journey. Not just the wins. Not just the highlight reel. All of it. The good stuff, the messy stuff, and the lessons in between.
Every month I sit down and take an honest look at how I did across every area of my life; weight loss, money, style, learning, relationships, and business. Then I share it all with you. Because the women following this journey deserve to see what a real midlife transformation actually looks like.
March was a big month. Let me break it all down for you.

Let me start with the moment that honestly stopped me in my tracks.
I got my results back from Function Health, a service that runs very detailed bloodwork on your body. One of the things they measure is your biological age, which is basically how old your body acts on the inside, not how old your birthday says you are.
My result? Biological age of 35.
I am 48 years old. I weigh 250 pounds. And my body is functioning like a 35-year-old.
I cried when I saw that number. Not because it was perfect. But because it was proof. Proof that every walk, every good choice, every morning I got up and showed up for my health, it is all adding up. Even when the scale does not show it.
Speaking of the scale, I lost 3 pounds in March. Not the 8 I was going for. And here is the honest truth about why.
My meal prep was solid Monday through Friday. I prepped breakfasts and lunches five days a week. I cut out all sugary drinks and soda. I did not eat past 8pm any night. My hydration was really good.
But dinner? And weekends? That is where things got loose. Pizza. Wings. Cookies. Chocolate. I am not going to pretend those did not happen because they absolutely did. And that is why I only lost 3 pounds instead of 8.
Honest Moment: I had pizza three times in March and cookies more times than I want to count. And I still have a biological age of 35. That is not permission to eat whatever you want. That is proof that consistency in the areas you CAN control still moves the needle, even when other areas are not perfect.
Now here is what I AM proud of.
I walked every single day in March. All 31 days. Minimum 30 minutes each time. Not one day missed. I also started the Tracy Anderson Method this month and I am already feeling the difference in my body. Spring is warming up in Cleveland and I am getting back outside more, and honestly that alone is doing something for my soul.
This is the section I think a lot of women skip talking about publicly. But I believe that when women talk openly about money, we all get better at it together. So here is exactly what I did with my money in March.
The habit that made the biggest difference this month was my daily money diary. Every single day I logged every dollar I spent in my Notes app on my phone. That one small habit made me so much more aware of where my money was going. And it worked, I spent way less on impulse buys from Amazon and Target than I usually do.
Here is where my money went this month:
Total deployed toward my future in March: $1,800. In one month. While working a full-time corporate finance job and running two businesses. It is possible. It just takes a plan.
I used to put myself last when it came to how I looked and how I showed up in the world. For years I dressed to disappear. Big clothes, dark colors, nothing that drew attention. I was hiding.
March was a month where I kept choosing to be seen instead.
I started wearing my hair straight and styled down instead of always throwing it in a ponytail. I know that sounds small. But it is not small when you are the woman who spent years not caring because she did not feel worth the effort.
I started wearing makeup to work more consistently. I got my nails done. My sweet friend Jessica gave me a whole bag of beautiful clothes, for free. New pieces that fit this body right now and make me feel like myself.
And I donated a full garbage bag of clothes that were too big for me. Too big. I cannot even believe I get to say that. Those clothes belong to an older chapter. A new one is being written.
March might have been my biggest month yet when it comes to learning and growing. Here is what I finished this month:
Five books. Five courses. One certification. In one month. While doing everything else you just read about.
I make time for learning by treating it like an appointment I cannot cancel. Podcasts in the car. Audiobooks on my walks. Reading before bed instead of scrolling. Little pockets of growth add up to big transformations.
This is the section most people leave out of their updates. But relationships are a huge part of a glow up. When you grow, the people around you either grow with you or they start to feel different. And sometimes the most important work is on the connections closest to you.
In March I invested in two friendships that I know are going to be part of my life for a long time. Real women. Quality friendships. The kind where you pour into each other equally.
And my son. We had some of the most honest conversations we have ever had in March. Heart to heart talks that reminded me how much I love being his mom. I already thought we were as close as a mother and son could be. I was wrong. There was more room. And we found it.
A glow up is not just your body and your bank account. It is every relationship in your life getting better because you are getting better.
The Midlife GlowGetter brand is growing and gaining momentum and I can feel it.
My reels and posts have been growing this month. The engagement is picking up. Women are finding me and telling me that this content is hitting exactly where they needed it.
I launched my 8-Week Awakening series, both on the podcast and the blog. The feedback from the women who have been following along has been incredible.
And I hired my website designer this month. A full rebrand and enhancement is coming to jaxstys.com very soon. I cannot wait to show you what is coming. Stay tuned, it is going to be everything.
March was not perfect. My diet slipped on weekends. I only lost 3 pounds instead of 8. There were mornings I was tired and overwhelmed and questioned everything.
And then my bloodwork came back. Biological age: 35.
The woman who walks every day even when she does not want to. Who puts money away even when the amount feels small. Who shows up for her son and her friends and her business and her learning, even imperfectly, even on the hard days, that woman is 35 years old on the inside.
Consistency over perfection. Every single time.
If you are reading this and you have been waiting for the perfect moment to start your own glow up, this is your sign. You do not have to be perfect. You just have to start. And then keep going.
April goals are dropping tomorrow. And friend, we are going harder.
I love doing this journey with you. See you next month. ๐ธ
I read every single comment. Drop your biggest March win below. Let’s celebrate together. ๐ธ

Habits are sneaky. Mine had a path, a time, and a routine.
Once I saw that, I stopped treating it like a mystery. It was a loop.

Day 56 of my Walking for Wellness Challenge ๐ชโจ
Down 181 lbsโฆ 89 lbs to go.
This morning started with stretching, then a walk in the afternoon.
Consistent. Repeatable.
Alsoโฆtoday I thought I should start asking myself better questions.
Your glow-up gets a whole lot easier when you start asking yourself better questions. Your brain is built to answer whatever you give it, so give it something empowering. Try these five this week:
1. What am I thinking right now?
2. How does this thought make me feel?
3. What do I want to feel instead?
4. What can I learn from this moment?
5. Whatโs one solution I havenโt tried yet?
Ask stronger questions, get stronger answers. Itโs that simple.
Save this for your mindset mornings and follow for more high-quality questions, midlife clarity, and glow-up tools.

I had to stop pretending I could heal while keeping the same setup.
For me, changing my environment was one of the first real acts of self-respect.

A lot of women think emotional eating is about willpower. For me, it was about pain, stress, and survival.
Food was not the real issue. It was the outlet.
When I started looking at the emotions under the habit, I finally began to heal.
