My Word of the Year for 2025: Intentional
As I reflect on my own journey, one word keeps rising to the surface: intentional.
Why intentional? Because this year, I want to live fully in alignment with my values. I want every choice, every action, and every relationship to reflect what truly matters to me. Midlife has taught me that time is precious, and I don’t want to waste a single moment on autopilot.
Here’s what being intentional means to me in 2025:
1. Soaking Up Love and Memories:
Family and friendships are my foundation. I want to make time for Sunday dinners, spontaneous coffee dates, and heartfelt conversations. I want to be present, not distracted, when I’m with the people I love.
2. Prioritizing Health and Wellbeing:
Wellness is non-negotiable. Being intentional means choosing nourishing foods, moving my body in ways that bring joy, and listening to my needs—whether it’s rest or adventure.
3. Fostering Financial Wellness:
Intentional living extends to my financial choices. I want to invest wisely in experiences, growth, and security, while also practicing gratitude for what I already have.
4. Embracing Happiness in the Little Things:
Midlife has shown me that joy is often found in the simplest moments: watching a sunrise, laughing with friends, or curling up with a good book. I want to savor these moments without rushing.

Intentional living is as much about what you say no to as it is about what you embrace. I want to say yes to the things that light me up and no to anything that drains my energy.

My Weekend To Do’s.
Every Friday night or Saturday early morning I plan my to do’s for the weekend.
First I make notes in my notes app on my phone on Friday at work. I brainstorm and thought download all the things I want to accomplish this weekend.
Then by Saturday morning I transfer it to my To Do Notebook. I keep track of everything that weekend and check off what I complete.
It keeps me organized and productive.
So I thought I’d share with you my process so incase you were looking for some inspiration.

Mostly natural, 30 lbs, was when I was on Zepbound for 3 months back in 2024.
On a dedicated weight loss and wellness journey since May 2022.
I am 48 years old.
I walk, stretch, body weight exercies, kettle ball exercises & diastasis recti exercises. Was part of a gym for 1.5 years. Now doing at-home workouts.
Meal prep every Sunday. Have certain high protein, high fiber meal on rotation. Drink a ton of water. Cut out sugar & white flour.
Meat, Veggies, Fruit, Dairy, Fish, Whole Grain - Whole foods. Very little processed foods.
Today…

Walked 45 min.
