What’s One Piece of Advice You Need to Take Yourself?
π What’s One Piece of Advice You Need to Take Yourself?
Here’s today’s question… What’s one piece of advice you give other people that you struggle to follow yourself?
I think we all have one. It’s often easiadvice to yourself midlifeer to encourage someone else than it is to encourage ourselves. But sometimes the person who needs our kindness the most is the one we see in the mirror.
πΏ Here’s Mine…
One thing I often tell people is, “Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.”
I truly believe that… until life gets hard.
When I’m facing a challenge, it’s easy to overthink, worry, and imagine the worst-case scenario.
That’s when I have to remind myself to believe the same words I so freely give to everyone else.
β€οΈ What Helps Me Find My Way Back
When I’m struggling, I don’t just wait to feel betterβI try to fill my mind with things that help me grow.
π§ Listening to inspiring podcasts and uplifting music.
π Reading encouraging books.
π₯ Watching positive and motivating videos.
πΈ Spending time with people who lift me up.
π± Limiting negative news and social media.
βοΈ Journaling instead of carrying everything around in my head.
πΆββοΈ Going for a walk and moving my body.
π± Focusing on one small step instead of trying to solve everything at once.
Little by little, my perspective begins to change.
π One Thing I’m Learning
Confidence comes and goes.
Hope comes and goes.
Belief comes and goes.
Sometimes we have to rebuild them, and that’s okay.
It doesn’t mean we’re failing. It means we’re human.
πΌ Questions for You
What’s one piece of advice you give other people?
Do you actually follow that advice yourself?
If not, what’s one small way you can start today?
π Closing Thought
One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is becoming your own biggest encourager. Talk to yourself with the same kindness, patience, and hope you would offer a close friend. You deserve your own support just as much as anyone else. And sometimes, the advice that changes your life is the advice you’ve been giving others all along. πΏβ¨
