About Jax Stys

Jax Stys, The Midlife GlowGetter

I’m Jax Stys. My midlife glow-up started at rock bottom in early 2022: hospitalized, laid off, broke, over 400 pounds, and raising my son as a single mom in my 40s.

I didn’t have a five-year plan. I just decided I wasn’t done. So I started small. One block. 6 AM. Every morning.

As of October 2026, I’m over 200 pounds down from my highest weight of 431. I paid off $45K in debt. I pivoted into a brand-new career in project management. None of it was a straight line, and it definitely wasn’t pretty. It was real, and it worked.

Now I’m 49, and I have about 90 pounds left to lose. That’s my focus right now. Not coaching. Not retreats. Just me, my habits, and my final 90, shared out loud so you can come along.

JaxStys.com is where I share it all: the wins, the stalls, the hard weeks, and what’s really helping. If you’re a woman over 40 and you want to see what real weight loss looks like after 40, you’re in the right place.

Where I’m Going

Here’s the truth: I haven’t “arrived.” I’m still in the messy middle, and I’m sharing it in real time.

My next goals:

  • Lose my last 90. One habit at a time, the same way I lost the first 200.
  • Get moving again. I’m adding more movement and exercise back into my routine.
  • Find the right support. I’m interviewing weight loss coaches, and I’ll share what I learn.
  • Share every step. Weekly updates here, on social media, and in my Monday Note.
  • Then coaching and retreats. Once I reach my goal, I’ll open coaching and host glow-up retreats in Charleston, SC.

What I’m Loving Right Now

  • Somatic exercises and somatic yoga. They’re gentle and calming, and I love them.
  • Joe Dispenza’s meditations. They’re a big part of my mindset work right now.
  • Making my home cozy. I’m bringing a coastal cottage feel into my Ohio home.
  • Planning a solo trip to Charleston. I’m heading back in February 2027, and I can’t wait.

It’s never too late. You’re never too far gone. One wondering thought becomes one dream. One dream becomes one decision. One decision, repeated on purpose, becomes a whole new life.

That’s the glow up. That’s the GlowGetter way.

Keep glowing. Keep growing. You’ve got this.

Love, Jax

Jax!
P.S. If you’ve ever thought, “It’s too late for me,” consider this your sign: it’s not.
