Get Extra Movement In

Make it a point to get the most movement you

can on a daily basis. You can burn extra calories

a day when you do extra activities. Combined they

will prevent excessive weight gain as well as improve your mental health.

Throughout your day take extra movement breaks. Stretch your muscles and clear your mind.

Remember even the littlest bit of activity can go a long way to keeping joints healthy, muscles toned and a healthy mindset.

  • Climb stars instead of taking the elevator
  • Walk up and down moving escalators
  • Park the far end of the parking lot
  • Take a walk at lunch or after dinner
  • Clean your house
  • Get off the bus stop early and walk home
  • Swap your car for your bike
  • Pace while on the phone
  • Hold walking meetings at work
  • Use a stand up desk
  • 10 squats every 1 hr
  • Line-dry your laundry
  • Learn and pick-up hobbies you love that require movement
